Last 100km of the Camino Portugues, beginning on the coast - starting point? crowds?

Hello Anna, I was all the time totally alone on the coastal route but no problems with safety. I don't think the portuguese are really interested in attacking pilgrims. But no need to worry, I walked in February and not May/June. It's really a wonderfull walk, have a nice time !!

Will I be all alone on the coastal/senda litoral route?

I did the coastal/senda litoral route this february (2018), it was wonderful and I was alone but I don't suppose you will be alone in May. There is no particular safety concern, what are you worying about exactly ?

Last 100km of the Camino Portugues, beginning on the coast - starting point? crowds?

That is an odd thought from the locals... where I live in south of France there are also many wild boars in the mountains and forests but it doesn't stop the walkers because wild boars don't usually attack humans, in fact they are scared of humans as they are often hunted.. Maybe some people who...

Very dissilusioned. Can't wait to finish

Instead of planning the Camino Frances, plan another Camino, like the Sureste for example. Many Caminos are not crowded at all... it is now well known that the CF is for people who like crowds

Dangerous parts from Lisbon to Porto ?

Hello Norma, Thanks for your answer. The problem is as you are leaving on August 11th from Lisbon and I will leave around the 21st so a little difficult to walk together, unless I jump many steps, which could be possible but I don't yet know in advance. Hope for you that you meet walking...

Hello, I will be walking on the camino leaving from Lisbon around 21st of august (passing by Santarem, Coimbra,...). I heard there are some quite dangerous places due to busy roads and with not much room for pilgrims to pass. If possible I would like to avoid walking on these stages and take...
