We travel on business alot and using an international from our provider works well we can call and recieve calls from anywhere in the world and have access to the internet while walking. It is worth the $45 per month.
Compare the cost of checking baggage to that of posting it. I have been carrying on my sticks in their case in my backpack with out any problem and I go overseas about 2x a year. Call the TSA or airlines and ask them. You can also purchase sticks less expensively in Europe.
We connected through Facebook to several pilgrims from Germany, Spain, Mexico and South Korea whom we remain in contact with. They have visited us in the US and we have spent time with them in Mexico. Life friendships. But several we exchanged contact information with have never responded. You...
I use a cheap 40 degree sleeping bag it weighs 22 oz. and doesn't take up much room in my pack. I carry it with me whenever I travel especially between October and June.
My wife and I are walking the Portuguese way in the spring for about 2 weeks at about 50 euros a day and will carry all cash. We will have our ATM if needed but I don't think we will.

I am on the Camino presently and do not consider it adventure, though there are some aspects like traveling from SJPDP to Roncesvalles and down the mountain. That was a rough 2 days.
I am walking to fulfill something I haven't found yet. Just finished walking day 9. Haven't found it yet, I...
