Some of the distance are of from the guide books . We walked a year ago and found we couldn't get less than about 20km per day. There are lengthy walks between service. Take a lunch and plenty of water.

If you are walking and training you'll have nothing to worry about walking the Camino. We plan on walking Coast to Coast next fall after walking the Caminho Portuguese fro Porto.
I will continue to walk Caminos till I can't. At 67 my pace is a little slower. I plan on walking the Portuguese central next October. In 2020 when my wife retires we are talking about going to Jerusalem and then to Rome and walk to Santiago from Rome.

It took 33 days and that pushing it. because of time constraints. Why longer : to stop and enjoy more of Spain to smell the roses. Our next walk I will be retired, but not my wife. She suggested I stay longer, if I do I will spend some more time in England with my daughter and grandson.
Good choice, we walked the Frances during winter. Next walk is October 2019 we are the Portuguese Caminho. My only regret was walking in too short of time we will take longer next time.
I walked the Frances during winter of 2016 and loved it. Our next Camino is October 2019 on the Portuguese central. I like cooler weather and less people.
Spring is really wet and cold, rain, hail and snow unless it is a dry year , but the weather is unpredictable. We had I particularly warm sunny day and when we woke up at the Albergue to start there was 4 inches of snow and it snowed all day. Jus'sayin.
