I keep talking myself out of it....

Whoops, I misread your departure date. I can understand being nervous. When I undertake this walk, I will do it solo as my husband can't. So, doing solo travel creates a few anxious moments for me.

How was your Camino experience? Porto is such an amazing city to visit.

I keep talking myself out of it....

I play basketball with a mixed age of women and some are over 80; we all age so differently :-)

Thank you for replying. Someone has already set up a group.

Sarah from New Zealand -What drew you to the Camino?

I am not sure how to start a group on here? Wonderful that you have someone that you can walk with. I have yet to convince a friend who I do half marathons with that doing a Camino would be fun ;-) My husband is unable to do it. However, he is cheering happily from the sidelines at the idea...

Sarah from New Zealand -What drew you to the Camino?

Sarah, we found the Spanish food is very much meat based and the tomatoes are so tasty. We shopped at supermarkets than eating at restaurants. Duolingo is very useful so was flinging my hands around to express what we wanted 😉 It is always good to try to say a few words in Spanish and it...

Sarah from New Zealand -What drew you to the Camino?

Hi Sarah and Bernice Perhaps we could start a mini group of NZers who would love to do a Camino walk. I am in the latter of wanting to do it for many years, though I have travelled around Europe housesitting with my husband; I need to get the timing right. Perhaps in 2025. Cheers Suzanne...

    Kia ora! Hello!

Booking? Do you mean you booked your walk or accommodation. Starting from Portugal interests me as we have covered a fair bit of Spain and France though that was by car/train not walking 🙂

    Kia ora! Hello!

Starting off from Porto would be interesting - on a previous visit we really enjoyed that city. With my limited knowledge, it would seem the Portugal leg isn't as popular as starting from France or Spain?

    Kia ora! Hello!

Hello/Kia Ora, from another kiwi lass. I too would be feeling gutted. Hopefully, you were able to get a full refund? Here's to another year when many of us first-timers and the experienced can tackle the walk. Kia Kaha, stay safe and well.
