Here’s my low-cost Camino flying trick from US. Fly from your US city to Dublin. (These flights are inexpensive - $600.) You can stay in Dublin for a day (or 2 just for fun) and then use Ryanair and fly over to Biarritz France (the flight cost me $75). Then use Express Bourricot taxi share...
Here’s the least expensive way I found from the states. Fly into Dublin. Stay a day and then the next day fly into Biarritz using Ryanair. Once in Biarritz cab share using Express Bourricot taxi service that takes you straight into the middle of St Jean Pied de Port. Ryan air only flies certain...
Question - did you want to start in Pamplona and not St. Jean Pied de Port? Because one way to consider getting from Philly to SJPdP is to fly through Dublin. Then, take Ryanair over to Biarritz FR and there are taxies readily available to take you to Saint Jean. My rest day was in Dublin. If...
RYAN AIR - non-stop London Stansted to Asturias Spain which is 120 km from Leon. Bus or train (or taxi) available to Leon. Fly Ryan Air non-stop back from Santiago.

NZ to Dublin. I just looked up flights in Nov and one example: Emirates $1184 in 27.5 hours R/T. Then take RyanAir to Biarritz Airport (about $75). Then use https://www.expressbourricot.com taxi service (about $20 each) which will drive you to St. Jean Pied de Port about 45 min. away...

I traveled from Pittsburgh PA to Dublin Ireland. Dublin has a straight flight to Biarritz on RyanAir (carried on backpack). We ordered a Taxi from Express Bourricot which drove us straight into SJPDP (about 30 min).
