I just took a look and flights are very expensive (right now) to get there on the same day. It looks like the train to Pamplona is the best option but will add a day. You can make up that day along your Camino by busing or taxiing one day. Totally understand if you don’t want to do that though.
Botín is great. Maybe not the absolute best meal of your life (though very very good) just the history of the place is enough to give it the push to 5 stars
Where you stay in Barcelona isn’t as important as the proximity to the metro system. The metro is very efficient and inexpensive. That being said Barcelona is a very walkable city as it’s generally flat. I’ll only take the metro for time critical appointments. Otherwise I walk. If you stay back...
Moved to Barcelona from Auckland recently. If you want some tips on places to see etc send me a DM on here so I can be specific to what you’re interested in (food, architecture etc)
Absolutely. I’m not sure if Air NZ started Premium Economy but they jumped in there quickly for sure. I flew Auckland to London in that class and it was totally fine. Obviously lie flat in Business is better but if I had a choice between Premium Economy for an entire flight or a bunk for 4 hours...
Air NZ has been working on this for years. I remember reading about it for what seems like 10 years so far. They’ve done some great innovations in the past so hopefully this is the next!
I love Eixample as well. More ‘locals’ then in the old town areas so it is quieter especially at night. The old town area can be pretty noisy. If you visit or stay in Eixample I will recommend Kserol cafe for a fantastic Tortilla (and everything else).
I’ll be interested in this one too. My wife is at a conference in Lisbon and wanted to go to Seville . She is looking into transport options. She said the reviews of the Lisbon to Seville overnight aren’t that great.
