We took the ALSA bus from SdC to Porto in November 2022, mostly because there was no transfer like the train trip required.
You could get off at Porto Airport, or the Porto Bus terminal. Both have metro stops.
I opted for the overnight in Paris, both for reduced stress and for jetlag recovery.
We landed in CDG at 7AM, 90 minutes to get through Passport control. A little over an hour on the RER train to Gard de Nord, maybe 45 minutes on the Metro to our hotel next to Montparnasse.
We would not have...
It was cancel on us, last September. A bus alternative was provided and the bus met the train time schedule, including intermediate stops.
That day, we were told the cancellation was the result of a rock slide onto the tracks.

We used the Express Bourricot Mountain Shuttle last September. We pre-booked our rides before we got to SJPdP. Shuttle picked us up at Croix Thibeault (about 16-17 km walk) mid afternoon. Dropped us off the next morning around 9 AM at the cross. We walked to Burgette on day 2.
High recommend...
I took this bus last fall. As somebody else mentioned, there is a toilet on board (which I did not use, so no review on that.).
I remember the bus made three stops, Vigo, Braga, and Porto Airport, before the main Porto Bus Station..

Train station was right next to the terminal, I just follow the signs for RER/TGV.
You buy RER tickets at an automated machine at the terminal, menu has language option for the instruction screen.
You need the ticket to get through the station turnstile, which validates the ticket.

We stayed overnight in Paris, in a hotel one block from Gare Montparnasse. This is how we got there (RER to Denfert-Rochereau) after landing in CDG. Very easy trip and not a long walk to Montparnasse.

We flew into CDG last September, on a North American red-eye (Boston), landed around the same time as all the other red eye flights. There was a huge crush of travellers. We did not clear Passport Control gates for 90 minutes.
We had opted to spend the night in Paris, then take the TGV the...
We did this last September, for a easy Jet Lag recovery day and to avoid stress of making any connections. We were glad we did, as it took 90+ minutes to clear the passport counters in CDG the RER was over an hour into the city center. We stopped into a shop to buy hiking poles, had lunch, then...
The r/Flights subreddit has a very good FAQ (https://www.reddit.com/r/flights/wiki/index/ ), including a pointer to a page on AirFare Search engines:

We took the train last Sept. from Paris (Gare Montparnasse) to Bayonne, then change to SJPdP. I booked on the SNCF web site without any problems. I booked about 1 month in advance.

I took an ALSA bus from Santiago to Porto in November, about a three hour ride. Three stops before reaching Porto bus station. The last before that was Porto airport.
Take the bus.
Jim
We walked to Croix Thibault, (right where the Camino leaves the paved road)
and had the Express Bouricott Mountain Shuttle pick us up and back to SJPdP. Returned the next morning by shuttle, then walked to Burgette the next day.
I would recommend walking more than the 8K to Orrison. Croix...
I have taken two ALSA buses into and out of Leon. Booked my tickets on their website. Time schedules published on the website, and the buses left and arrived on schedule both times. I did have to know my Bus' ultimate destination in the big León bus terminal, to get the correct route.
Very...
Hi we are going mid September Flight into CdG Airport. We choose to overnight in Paris, a hotel close to Gare Montparnasse. Then the TGV/local train to Bayonne/SJPdP the next morning. We thought a day walking arround Paris would help us manage Jet Lag better.
Getting on a 4+ hour TGV ride...
