If you don't find someone to share with online, when you arrive at the Pamplona airport, you will see other pilgrims (or perhaps if you are flying in, you will spot them in the departure lounge at your departing point - very easy to spot!) and you can ask them to share. Taxis are always waiting...
I arrived in Pamplona once by train and the other time by plane. While waiting at the train station and in the airport departure lounge, I looked for pilgrims - very easily identifiable. I asked if they were going to St-Jean, Both times, I was able to share a taxi with 3 other pilgrims to...
On the taxi website they say that they will put other pilgrims in the taxi to share the cost if you agree to it. My hiking partner and I also hope to share costs with other passengers on September 30.
Taxi San Fermin will take your reservation and have other pilgrims share the ride if there are other requests. It is true that you will spot other pilgrims on the flight but they may have already reserved their own taxi. The Elsa bus leaves Pamplona around noon. I am also looking for other to...
Two of us will be flying into Pamplona arriving around noon on September 30, too late for the Alsa bus. Looking for other pilgrims to share a taxi to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port.
many countries indeed require 6 months. I had to renew my passport in haste after finding out that it was 4 days short of 6 months before going to Costa Rica some years ago... better to check!
Actually, I am just walking for 2 weeks. Starting St. Jean and not sure where I will end... I have been many times before and this time, a friend wants to try it; she is not sure how she will do because of a foot problem so no real plan... If you are starting then, you are welcome to walk with...
I have a feeling that the buses from Pamplona to St-Jean can only be reserved within a month or so. I have run into that problem before, finding that there was no bus information. Try again a bit closer to the date.
It is a tiny airport. No need to be there early. Spaniards would not be there more than an hour before. Honestly, it is TINY! There is a bus to the airport but not sure if it's 24 hours a day.
Especially if you are coming from New Zealand. Get rid of your jet lag. Pamplona is a lovely city, well worth a visit. From Saint-Jean is a pretty hard stage. Buen Camino.
I wonder if it's better to book a taxi to SJPDP just on arrival in Pamplona because each time I have arrived at the airport, I found several pilgrims wanting to share a taxi. I wonder if you can book one with other passengers debarking from your train or bus arriving in Pamplona. I certainly...
I live in Kingston and fly to Pamplona via Frankfurt with air Canada/Lufthansa. I get my flight tickets on the Flight Network. March 13 it is going to be very cold and will likely have snow. Buen Camino.
I was on the Camino from mid-September to mid-October and we were blessed with incredible weather. Not a day of rain except for a few drops once or twice. We started walking at 7 am in about 12 degrees and by 11 am sometimes it started getting a bit hot; 1 pm it could be in the high 20's. Nice...
