    WEetook the detour on our way to Lires from Finisterre in May last year and not only were the flowers stunning, the beaches were too. We had a picnic lunch on the beach at the river estuary after a cooling paddle in the clear waters.

    I split mine at Lires in May. There are a couple of places to stay there depending on whether you are loking for a hotel or alberge.

    You can do either, it depends on what you want to do and have a look at teh gradients etc. Do you like the long ups or the longer downs?

    I walked this route from 4th to the 11th of May and although not overly busy there were plenty of other pilgrims walking. A beautiful route and highly recommended. We had perfect weather so somewhat spoiled.
