Good stages but as another option instead of Cee go a few more Kms to the Albergue San Roque. It's not far from Cee and is open all year and donativo. I stayed there and the Hospitelarios had come for 2 weeks from somewhere near Valencia. They cooked me a lovely meal and took me out to see the...
As mentioned earlier, it's about 27 Kms from Negreira in a little village called Lago. Also able to be located on Google Maps by typing in Albergue Monte Aro Lago. Will give you exact location.

Yes I did! Twice in fact. I went via that beach on the way over the top to Faro but I had the pleasure of being taken there the evening before by the 2 Hospitelieros at Albergue San Roque. I was the only pilgrim in the Albergue that evening and as we were doing the dishes they suddenly said...
Using Google maps type in 'Albergue Lires' and it should show up. Is newish but not totally new. Has bar/restaurant attached and hotel as well as Albergue I think

Head up a street called 'Camino Insua' and you will find a walking...

PS: suggest going TO the lighthouse over the top rather than via the road - in the light. It is an easy walk with a bit if uphill but not hard. Several reasons to do it. Coming towards Faro you get an amazing view over the point not possible from the road. You can visit the Pedras Santa's at the...
I've recently heard of 'Man', German hermit who lived near Finisterre. Came for the Camino in the 60's and never left. Died soon after the Prestige disaster of a broken heart (from the ecological impact) some say.
The world is a hard place in which to exist I think?

Am on the Finisterre - Muxia route at the moment having just finished 6 weeks on the VLDP and Sanabres.
Thought it worth a shout out regarding this Albergue. It's FANTASTIC. The best I've experienced so far in more than 6 weeks walking. Quite new, opened last year I think.
The dormitory is...
