Hi, I found this Anyoo Waterproof Rain Poncho Lightweight Reusable Hiking Hooded Coat Jacket for Outdoor Activities which looks very much like the Altus. It weighs 760 gms, but it serves the same purpose. Take a look: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MDJ7Y48?tag=casaivar02-20

Thank you for your info. I was figuring out that light bunge cords could serve the purpose of hanging and tying up stuff as needed. Thanks again.

    Name on all my stuff?

Hi all, this is a great topic. As a newbie, I had not imagined these situations happening. :) I can understand they are part of the nature of the experience. I am taking into account all your comments as I am preparing for my Camino. Thank you!

    Am I packing too much?

As per my weather apps, right now Leon is 10C, Sarria is 10C with rain, and Santiago is 11C with rain. I see a slight variation of 3 degrees from 7am to 7pm and wind around 10 to 13 mph. I hope it gets warmer and less windier by late April....

    Am I packing too much?

Hi Steve217, up to now, I have read about bringing a cord. I just wonder how frequently albergues do not have a cord to dry clothes, and how long it should be? thanks

Best Ultra Lightweight Sleeping Bags for the Pilgrimage in March-April

Hi, I have a question. I ordered a mummy sleeping bag, and I am going to buy a liner. I have heard comments about the mummy format being a bit uncomfortable for side-sleepers (which I am.) Having in mind that I may want to use the liner without the sleeping bag, I thought of getting a...

    Sarria to SDC in October

Hi, Mspath, I have read your Kit list and tips, thank you. This is my first camino and it will be at the end of April to mid May. I love the 'finding a bunk' section, first time I read about these situations and you mentions the way to arrange your sleeping bag for cold nights. I am trying to...

    Permethrin

Thanks to all of you. It was not easy to find an image of the 'youth hostel liners' exactly, but I have the concept. The idea is to use the pillow bag as a head cover as needed, very creative. I will take this into account when deciding on a liner. Regarding treating the other gear, yes...

    Permethrin

Hi dougfitz, I find interesting the solution of the hostel liner. At this point, I have read about three solutions: 1. use a sleeping bag silk liner. This assumes that the silk liner goes inside the sleeping bag, and the bugs have already entered the sleeping bag (maybe not if the bag has been...
