I'm a woman and I walked 2 Caminos in men's exofficio boxer briefs, wearing skirts. I recommend them -- very cool, very comfortable, and that's a great price. Off to Cosco!
The skirt fabric rubs on the inside of my knee when walking — it’s a lot of fabric just around my knees. If you check out Purple Rain skirt it is very comfortable. Also, I think the full gathering and the knee length together are unflattering. The longer one looks fine.
I have the charcoal in the slim short length, which is l long on me (62" 157 cm). I like it and don't think it is too hot in the summer, it hides dirt and is neutral with any top. I also have the knee length in black but don't like it. The length is about mid knee on me and feels...
I sleep all night with audio books playing on my iPhone. I pick something boring that makes me sleep. And as davebugg suggests I charge my power bank at night.

Haven't read your other replies so sorry if this is a repeat. Whatever you are planning to sleep in, try it at home first. SO this is just me ... I am not comfortable sleeping in hiking clothes, and need to get up several times at night to use the bathroom. A lightweight non-see-through...
I wouldn't go buying things, but lightweight merino wool leggings are perfect if you have them
. (i have icebreaker.) one pair is enough, and they don't smell.
I used it last year for the CF and will use this year on the CP. I am old and weak and arthritic but I still want to carry my pack, so I took pictures of the Brierly book with my smart phone. Last year I found the app great.
I have altra lone peak 3.0 and about a month ago bought the 3.5. I think the fit is different on the 3.5 and I don't like them. I leave in less than a week and still deciding between Altra lone peak 3.0 and Saucony Peregrine 6. I get foot pain with either (hallux rigidis) but will still walk...
