    How to decorate your camino shell

    I used a simple black waterproof marker and ink to draw a little pilgrim and the Camino cross. To keep it nice I put on couple of layers of Varnish for Acrylic paint. Maybe not the most professional option, but it worked just fine. Still looks pretty good after 1250 km of walking.

    Just like with your question on what shoes to get, the answer is: Go to the store. Fit what seems ok. Everybody is different and that is why there are so many bags/shoes in the world. What helped me though is to know what I want to bring with me, so I also know what backpack size I need to buy.

    Meindl shoes are the best for me as well, walked my last pilgrimage on them. 2000 km without blisters. I'm wearing them this year too.
