Socks, no really

I only walk in Injinji coolmax socks and hiked in La Sportiva Trail runners. Just one sock, not two. Not sure where you shop but REI and Amazon sell them. I have walked in high heat and cold rain in them on the Camino and I will never be without that combo. I do at times get a bit of a hotspot...
