I've worn both Altras and Tops. Both fit comfortably but Altras fit better. You might consider Altra Timps as an alternative to the Lone Peak. I walked the Cini this past season with mine and they were beautiful. Topos don't feel as nice to me for long distances and mine did not last as well...
I haven't done the Camino, yet. But I have had good success on other trips with Keen sandals. Sort of a hybrid shoe/sandal that can get wet and be a great comfy shoe for walking and like hiking.
