Thanks to all of you for sharing what you have learned. I read each response over the last few days as I discerned what is best for me.
I have decided to cancel my trip. I feel deflated. I’m sad and disappointed, but the only thing that makes me feel better is that I know this is the right...
I am supposed to start walking out of Porto on June 5th, and I have suffered a recent injury.
I wasn't sure if I should post this under medical issues or CP. I am choosing CP because of the terrain in Portugal - and I thought those of you who walked it could give me your experienced opinions...
I hope things have gotten better since your post. We've all been weary pilgrims and some of us also know the struggle of sleepless nights. I find it unfortunate that people have to leave sarcastic comments.
My bottom line is that I know your pain. I use albergues for two or three nights in a...

That was so helpful. Thank you for the link. Everyone should see this. If you read the thread, you'll see that there are multiple opinions about how compeed should be used. I'm glad I got this straightened out, but I hope I don't have to use them!
Thanks again!
Lynne

That makes sense. My old boots felt a bit snug in width after a bit of walking. My new boots are much roomier. Maybe that will make a difference. I will where them a bit looser in the front too - good suggestion. I'll experiment. Many people have given great suggestions. I'm so thankful.
Thanks...
Thank you so much for taking the time to share. That was extremely helpful. I will consider all of it. I think I will have to read it again to take in all of the tips.
Knowledge and preparation seem to be the best ways to avoid major problems.
Thank you!!
Lynne
Hello,
I've searched several "blister" posts, but I can't find the answer to my specific blister question and I'm hoping someone out there might have a suggestion.
I tend to get blisters on the pad of my foot: front, a bit below my second and third toes. Even after a long walk on paths around...
