    Lost for words....

    Lee, Don't know about your previous posts and can't contribute much. All I can say is I came to grips with loosing my Dad by walking the Camino. Yes, every old man reminds me of my father. Don't be too hard on yourself.

    Interesting, something to think about. The owner of hostel in Albergaria-A-Nova on Portuguese way is still working on a suitable "carimbo". Someone also mentioned that some hostels have two different stamps, one for those heading to Santiago and another for pilgrims to Fatima.

    Tapas etiquette

    I don't recall receiving tapas with soft drinks, however this was usually early in the day. If the bar concerned supplies tapas then I'm quite sure you can purchase some. In this scenario you don't need to purchase an individual drink for each person. I suppose " Tiene tapas?" is your must...

    Usually no problem getting stamps on the Frances. Personally I prefer sello in my passport only from places I sleep. A notebook / diary etc is useful for others. Buen Camino.
