I just finished! I walked into Santiago on June 6th as planned and then walked (most of the way, took a cab from Negreira to Hospital) to Finisterre and the end of the world.
I could not be happier, more sore or more full of love for everything and everyone. ESpecially those of you on this site...
Today is the one month to go mark! I'm definitely still very nervous but have gotten over most of it. I have no idea what will happen while I'm there and I have no idea what will happen here while I'm gone but I can't let any of that dictate my trip. I'm thrilled, I'm nervous, I'm excited but...
Does anyone from the US know if you're able to use your GPS from your iphone overseas with a new local spanish card? Or does it require the usage of your dataplan to use GPS? I'd like to use my runkeeper app to track my progress for my family at home since I'll have my phone on me anyway for...

I just got some last bits of equipment in the mail today and tehn it suddenly hit me like a ton of bricks, "Exactly two months from now I...

This is all such incredible information! And there are obviously different schools of thought on training but the one thing that shines through it all to me is that this is "your camino" and you're the one walking it. It will be different for me than for anyone else.
As far as training for me...
Thank you both for the info!
I won't have any opportunity to do any weeklong walks before I leave but will try to do the 16k (i need to learn the conversions!) on weekends as much as possible.
Is there anything more one can do to train? I'm so nervous! Excited too
Hello!
I'm preparing for my very first Camino in May2012 and am so nervous about physically be capable! I've just started really training with a 10 mile walk yesterday and hope to keep it up until I go.
How many miles should one expect to walk per day? I know that it's different for everyone...
