Does anybody know if it is possible to buy Permethrin (to spray onto backpack and sleeping bag) in Spain on the Camino, as it is not available to buy in Ireland?
Thanks.
There are a few short hills but the scenery, food, wine and people more than make up for the inclines. Plus, you have lots of walking along the coast and some stretches walking on the beach. I've walked it twice and I don't remember any issues with hills.
Thank god for google, I've never heard of that condition.... I wish you a speedy recovery, the Camino and us pilgrims need you... I should be arriving in Santiago mid September so I'll keep an eye out for you in the Pilgrim Office.
On this day 11th September in 2005 I began my first Camino... staying in the previous Albergue in Roncesvalles... amazed at the one big room for all the pilgrims.
Take a sleeping tablet... blissful sleep and you won't hear a thing.. wake up refreshed in the morning... and they are available over the counter in Spain!
I walked from Logrono to Fromista during the middle of August last year. Most days were between 28 and 32 degrees with a beautiful Meseta wind... I found it very pleasant weather to walk in... and best of all it was very quiet, usually 5 -10 pilgrims in the albergues at night. This year I will...
And what about the Parador de Ferrol on the Camino Ingles. I stayed there for my first night before starting the Camino last September, 75 euro for a gorgeous room for 2 people... and its right on the Camino.
