    Message from the Roncesvalles albergue - a difficult day.

    I have been booking myself in several apartments where they use some app which allows me to scan my own passport in. Maybe they should look into something like that- it may make things go a little quicker? They don’t give me the key or the door code until they get the passport scan and a selfie.

    we are in Roncesvalles tonight and once again people are being turned away. No reservations, no beds. And none in Burguete. And tomorrow none in Zubiri. I found two young Danish sisters and asked them to share my apt at Benificiados but they cannot find lodging for tomorrow.

    I’m in SJPP right now. IT WAS COMPLETELY BOOKED YESTERDAY BY 2 PM AND today Roncesvalles is completely booked. If I were you, I would get online right now and book Roncesvalles and Zubiri. Even Pamplona was pretty full day before yesterday.

    Yes. Some found a mat on the floor there (which can be more comfie than some of those old beds!). People here at Gite Compostella tried to book Roncesvalles for tomorrow (today now) and it was full.
