    Buen Camino app, negative about central Portugal

    In my humble opinion the walk from Porto to Vila do Conde is lovely. Firstly by the river and then the coast. From there you can cut across to Barcelos to join the Central which I think is a great walk. Plenty of history and some lovely towns.

    Agree with Jungleboy. Tomar to Coimbra is a great walk and both towns are well worth the visit.

    Arrived in Santiago yesterday from Porto. Did not precook any accommodation. Stayed in a mix of municipal & private. Plenty of accommodation.Only place I would not stay in municipal is Padron as it is a one big room & usually has quite a few snorers & early risers rustling their plastic beds...

    Did coastal until Vila do conde then cut across to the inland where there is more history. Loved it.

    Hi, I have just finished the Portuguese from Lisbon and albergues were open. Lot of people walking and from Porto would pay to book ahead.
