I'm working on an itinerary that averages 20km per day (although there are some 25km days in the beginning). The Short stages guide prepared by Laurie has been most helpful. We probably will use transport to and from an end point some days (so we don't skip the walking but skip the long days)...
My husband and I will be walking from Lisbon to Santiago starting on the 9th
September, averaging 20km per day. We walked the Camino Frances last year and are looking forward to different challenges. Who are we likely to meet on the way?
I like your Ogawdwhathaveidone....my feelings exactly. What madness made me think I could walk almost 800km? We are Australians but ex South Africa so listen out for my hubby's SA accent....his backpack is black with red trim, mine black and grey.
If our connections work (From Sydney Australia via Paris), we arrive in St Jean on the 22nd. Plan to walk to Orisson or Valcarlos on 23rd (depending on the weather - hopefully Orisson). We will sleep in St Jean again on night of 23rd and leave from Orisson/Valcarlos on the 24th for Burguete...
