My longterm plan is to walk from Bury St Edmunds to Santiago. This will mean walking through Flanders. So any information you can share on this area would be helpful.
So, 21st June I fly out to Le Puy. I'll probably spend a couple of nights there, as it sounds as if there's stuff to see.
Then three weeks. Tentative plan: Moissac.
I return in October for two weeks.
Then in March/April 2015 for another four. Which, God-willing, should get me all the way...
A late May departure would mean you'd be walking in to Santiago in July, which is likely to be busy. A September departure means an October arrival, when things are likely to be quieter. I would prefer the latter, but you may not, and its your camino.

Is it a good way to find the camino? It depends. The film skims over the gritty realities - no bedbugs, no blisters, no rain!
