    Getting exited about my trip.

If your planned stops change mid-Camino, I'm looking forward to staying at Albergue-Pensión Turístico Salceda (between Melide and Santiago). 8 beds in a dormitory, but also attached to a hotel that I've read good reports about. pousadadesalceda@gmail.com +34 981 502 767 Enjoy!

Which Camino route best suits dysfunctional knees?

Hi Miriam, IMO, the CF is absolutely the right route for your particular circumstances (as you've outlined them in your post). Unless you're wedded to the idea, I'd consider starting in Pamplona and avoiding the strenuous first day over the Pyrennees via the Napoleon route (unless you're...

Two Aussies on a tandem bike about to head off

Met a family from the States this summer on the Frances who had a tandem adapted to fit an extra child's seat in the middle. The bike caused quite a stir wherever they went. Be ready to meet and speak to lots of inquisitive peregrinos! Buen Camino!

    Class of 2013

Hi, Kevin here from Ireland. I started and completed the Camino Frances between 27 May and 2 July this year. To those who I met and talked to along the way – thank you. Hindsight is a bit like beer goggles at a nightclub; it tends to distort reality. But, I can honestly say that I loved every...

    Class of 2013

Buenas! Kevin here from Ireland. Starting out from SJPP with my brother on our first Camino on 27th May. I have a few (small) reasons for the doing this, nothing major. The start date is closing in so fast now! 6 weeks away from work, recession, tax increases, wage cuts, media, etc - mmmm...
