Look up the web site for Express Bourricot.
When I did a similar thing in 2011 ,Caroline took me from St Jean to Pamplona with 2 Australians.
Whatever the cost is Caroline will divide it between the number of passengers.
I hope that she is still running this superb service.. I can't praise her...
In 2012 I went from Burgos to SDC by train.
I was amazed that in 2 of the stops the train went into the station and came out in a reverse direction.
A few of the passengers changed seats, presumably so that they didn't travel backwards.
Also at 2 of the stations the train stopped for about 10...
The first time I went on the train from Pamplona to Burgos,I was a bit worried because there were quite a few platforms at Pamplona and I didn't know which platform I needed.
I went into the buffet to get a coffee and to ask. There was a timetable ,with train numbers ,time of train, which...
Try checking with Caroline at Express Bourricot. Look her up on line.
Caroline can take you from SJPdP to Pamplona if that is want you want.
If there are other people who want to do the same thing, the fare will be divided by the number of people going.
You can't do any harm in ringing her to...
Hi Caroll. You don't have to find other pilgrims to share the ride. Caroline at Express Bourricot will do that herself. If enough people want to book she will fill the minibus.
I can thoroughly recommend her service.
The mention of 21 euros is amazing. I had a taxi pick me up from a hotel on the outskirts of Santiago, early in the morning. The taxi took me to the airport and i was charged 21 euros.
This was in September 2012!
I,too would recommend Caroline at Express Bourricot.
If you Call her,( Number on website), she will pick you up at the airport, and also fill her minibus up with other bookings. You will then only pay the cost of the trip divided by the number carried. This is normally about 9 in busy times.
buen...
Caroline at express bourricot cannot pick up in pain.
I few years ago she told me that the Spanish taxi drivers complained at her doing this. Taken to court and fined heavily.
You can phone and ask her but I am sure that is still the case.
You might need to get a local taxi.
The last time I was there in 2012, the security staff did not open up until app. 30 mins before the flight.
The plane was already in ,on the ground, before the gate opened.
No security checks were made at Pamplona or Burgos a couple of years ago. There is plenty of room on those trains. I cannot speak for trains from Barcelona or Madrid.
The underground lines were very tight, not allowing photographs to be taken.
Once coming out of Madrid with my camera ,I put the camera through the security check.
The security man called me and asked if there were batteries in the camera, to which I replied yes.
He opened the camera ,took out the batteries and threw them into a waste bin. I protested and then in Spanish...
Stay at a hotel the previous night and get reception to order a taxi for you. Also get the receptionist to ask for the price at that time.
I did this from a hotel well out of town in 2012 and the cost was 22 euros.
Good luck !
I agree with a taxi. I paid 22 Euros in 2012 from a hotel outside the city limits. He was there at the time booked the night before.
Very smooth operation. As someone previously said the drivers know their way around and are used to the procedure at the airport.
The airport itself is small and...
