thanks for the replies, I have gone back onto the site with renewed determination and it turns out it was just a technical hitch. looks like Ive managed to book one berth in the four berth ladies only compartment but like you wolfsmom - hopiing for the best when I actually get to the train. :)...- karennz2012

just wondering if I can get any advice on booking through renfe. Im trying to book the trenhotel from SDC to Madrid and got a message that I had selected an open return when I thought I had selected one way - instead of the return box, I clicked on 'outward'.. so Im not sure what that means and...- karennz2012

Booking train tickets on the TGV and French rail system
Hey Jrit I dont know anything about the 6months- in advance- tickets but you can still get really good deals on line 90days in advance by doing as Merrilj suggests and declining the offer to go to your own country's site and staying on the tgv french site and paying in euros. good luck karen- karennz2012

thanks Alan, Ive been trying to decipher the renfe website today - I cant book till 90 days out but put in a sunday night in october just to get a sense of prices. It showed a first class individual sleeper which was expensive, but then the tourist class sleeper was designated as 'familia'...- karennz2012
