Oh Jill! I’m so happy for you! That would’ve been quite a loss. After hearing about thefts and Roncesvalles, and feeling a little downhearted about that, this has made me feel happy again.
Yes, I believe it was the municipal. We had to go to the swimming pool to pick up the key.
It was like a little hobbit house with a rounded ceiling - see photo - a very cool little building.
Watching your posts and thanking you for the updates. I've tried to finish the VDLP several times. Last time, Covid put a stop to it. Interested on what's ahead of you after Cáceres. I've never made it past there.
If you're getting a bed and a meal,
my advice is to think about what you'd pay
for a bed and a meal at home
and...
remember, the money you leave tonight will feed the pilgrims that eat here tomorrow.
Pelerina, I'd love a link to your blog. It's been a few years since I walked the Madrid route.
Camino Chrissy sent me her plan but I'd love to see how you did.
When did you walk it?
We changed our mind at the last minute.
Doing the Madrid route. Half stages to start b/c I'm not very strong.
Will fly in on April 10 and walk it, then on to Pamplona by April 28 to pick up my group, head to SJPP, and start the CF again.
Yay!
We spent Semana Santa one year in southern Spain. We were in Granada, Cordoba, and Sevilla and it was wonderful! Just make your reservations NOW is my advice.
Last year we were in Manresa for Semana Santa. Other years we've been in Madrid, Cordoba, Granada, Sevilla.
Next year I'm hoping to spend it in Pamplona. I already booked my lodging, but would like to bus or train to Logroño the Monday after Easter. Hoping I won't have a problem. Getting excited!
