After having 5 + days in rain and sometime wind, I HATED my Altus poncho. Even though 55 degrees my sweat for all my clothes under the poncho was worse. Ended up soaked anyway and HOT. So too off the poncho and just got drenched. Next time I will wear a decathalon poncho.
As a super pronator returned the Speedgoats and back to Challengers. With coolmax toe socks and alpaca socks over them. Training for 4 months - not a blister.
A cheap pair of dollar flip flops for showering would take up no room or weight.

I bought an Altus rain coat from Ivar - really long but even better it has a “huge” space to make room for the backpack! Not cheap but looks like it will last.
Maybe take a look at the Hoka Challenger - here in the US they are much more popular than the Speedgoats. The speedgoats don’t do well on asphalt or concrete - wear out REALLY FAST. I don’t know any others.
