    Good point. We walk about 5 miles a day now, but will bump it up substantially this summer in preparation for our Camino, so I’ll be trying several different types and combinations of socks.

    Hiking shoes or sandals?

    What is your normal shoe size and what size sandals did you get for the Camino. Also, do you wear socks with these?

    How do you carry the important stuff?

    We bought Fanny packs with a belt loop on the back of the pack so if someone cuts the pack belt the actual pack is still attached to your pants belt. Hope that makes sense.
