    Received my Trailblazer 44 yesterday. I can see the problem with the H2O port. The only way I can think to prevent water coming in is to close the roll top in a forward direction and push it over the back panel, then clip it in place. Then the hole is covered and it appears comfortable that way...

    Hi Seabeggar The pack certainly doesn't look waterproof in the least. (Still waiting for mine to arrive). How did you handle rain? Pack cover (which one fits?). I use the inbuilt cover for my current pack, as well as small dry bags to organise my stuff inside.

    I've always used a top-loader plus individual dry bags. Easily lifted out from the top because they are smooth. Most used items go on top, sleeping back and other items not needed during the day go in bottom.

    Rainware....From a different perspective

    Breathable rain pants with full length zips to adjust the ventilation. I walk with the zips open and just the poppers closed at the knees and ankles. That's fine for a drizzly day. When the rain comes horizontal you can quickly close the zips.

    On a serious note, it's nice that you can have a master gear list, and move things in and out of the expedition list - so you can quickly update your list if the weather or circumstances change. Very clever but simple. We're definitely locked in this box with no TV.
