Us a common sleeping sheet. It can be cotton or nylon . I warm weather just the pocket shaped sleeping sheet is enough but a down coverlet is for cooler weather
From my experience on numerous Caminos, walking in grass is very rare and easy to avoid. When you have thousands of walkers there is very little grass.
I bring Teva sandals for town walking and shower . In fact I have used them for flat walking on the trail . After wearing hiking shoes all day my feet loved the ventilation of sandals around town. Your shoes need airing too
I find that if I lengthen the shoulder straps on my pack , but still keep the weight on my hips , i can lower the pack enough to see over my shoulder and wear a full brimed hat. In warm weather I like the Safari style hat with a mesh crown. It keeps my head cooler
