Agree with most people. Have been using trail runners for years on all sorts of terraine (both running and walking) and wouldn't go back to boots. I would advise doing all your training in them though as there is a lot less ankle support which you may not be used to and the potential to turn...
Personally i preferred just a cheap plastic bottle bought on route, not really any need for a steel type bottle and it just adds weight. I would imagine having a bladder would be a bit annoying having to get out and refill often and i've heard they can start to smell??

Great find sil- just bought one aswell- after walking the camino in May this year I was looking for an alternative to a heavy shell jacket and this looks like it will work a treat for my 2nd in February next year!!

hey again, leatherman is just a multipurpose tool, like a swiss army kinife, you can live without it but i use it everyday for random tasks, sorry underwear, yeah like xm says 2 pairs or 3 if you like to clean every 2nd night instead of every nite..

hey gina, my fiance is about your size and uses a 50liter pack, its a perfect size for her anyway, has extra room for anything she might pick up along the way, iv just gota fight her bout taking the hair straightener out is all :wink:
