    Packing cubes or dry sacks?

I used to Eaglecreek ultralight bags until I had a run-in with bedbugs, and ever since then freezer storage thickness Ziploc bags are the way we go. They are the same weight as the Eagle Creek, but provide the peace of mind that your clothes have not been exposed to the bedbugs even if your...

    Will I need a fleece?

Do you mind being cold? I am cold averse so I carry the fleece and the sleeping bag. Other people don't mind the cold so they take a sleep sheet and no fleece. What is your preference???

    packing list

No shocked, I just found it too hot to be inside the sleeping bag! And with a man I didn't know less than 2 feet away, I preferred more coverage sleepware.

    packing list

Did you think about what you will be sleeping in. Hot nights you may be on top of your sleep sheets and you may be sleeping in a bunk bed 12" away from a stranger. No response needed just a question to ponder.

    Where to lighten the load?

Now for the otherside of the coin . . . Think about the camera - if you are a photographer and love taking photos - in Spain every moment of every day is a photo opportunity for you. If you use it regularly you will not mind the weight. The only issue is where to carry it - if it is...
