newbie seeking advice Camino Primitivo

Hello people. It was us who made the trail/track from Albergue Ponte Ferreira to Sobrado. (We had the albergue from 2018 till 2023). The track works quite well, but it is a quite lonely trail, and the first 21 km you don't have any facilities. You pass a few tiny villages (or groups of houses)...

Albergue Ponte Ferreira between Lugo and Melide

Hi Laurie, There is also a new private albergue now in As Seixas. I wasn't there - because this time I took the Friol option, but my husband was there last week. They serve food as well. Can't imagine i will be as idyllic and comfy as Ponte Ferreira though :-) (I stayed there in 2011, when also...

how exposed are the Primitivo trails?

Hi, I hiked the primitivo twice (2010 and 2011) and it is absolutely wonderful, and i can't remember anything steep (i'm quite afraid of heights, so i would remember). So go for it! Another recommendable route connecting to the primitivo is the ruta del salvador from Leon to Oviedo. So if you...
