Be aware about 2 kms before arriving to alcuescar, just after passing saint john's cross. A hostel-owner with belief in private initiative has painted over (with yellow paint!) arrows pointing to the refugio and instead made arrows pointing to his hostal, a deviation of 3k and pricy. Keep right on top of the hill right before the village, a faded yellow arrow on a fence shows the way slightly downhill to the right. Support the monasterio Los Esclavos de Maria y los Pobres, a nice place, and, if ur a woman, keep the bra on even ift he sun is shining, stripping in those surroundings seems to be inappropriate.
