Ah the memories come flooding back as I read your blog, Windswept. That's a great picture of Zamora old town from across the river. And how about the Cathedral tower. I couldn't help thinking that when they built it in 1100 and whenever, they had the architect's drawing upside down.
I hope you have decided to take the Sanabres. I recall that sign. pointing in opposite directions, and making the decision. You'll have made it a few days ago, of course, and if you have gone west, I look forward to your photos of the ruined monastery at Moruella.
