I will be walking with some people who want to transfer luggage along route. Looking at the Correos site they don't seem to pick up bags from the albergue in Roncesvalles. Any body with information on transporting bag from the albergue in Roncesvalles to Zubiri

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Correos is of course the Spanish mail system, so it does not pick up or deliver to sites outside of Spain. We used it for all of our days while in Spain. For our first two days of our walk we used Express Bouricott, https://www.expressbourricot.com/ to get our bags up to Borda, and then to Roncesvalles.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Did you stay in the albergue in Roncesvalles or private accommodation

We. stayed in the Auberge Borda, about a kilometer above Orisson, and in Roncesvalles we stayed in the Casa Sabina. They were both great.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

I am specifically talking about bags getting picked up at the albergue in Roncesvalles. I know Correos pick up from private accommodation in Roncesvalles but I am talking about the albergue

You could try https://www.pilbeo.com/backpack-transport/camino-frances. I used them for part of my walk this year. They were flexible and picked up at points not on their usual list without a problem. I stayed at Casa Sabina in 2019 and got good service, cheaper than the Ronsevalles Hotel although this one was clearly much better - enormous well-equipped bedroom. However disappointedly if you stay there you can't eat with the pilgrims from the Albergue, you have a separate room with a different menu.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
I have a ways used Jacotrans. On my first in 2 Camino in 2015 a bag had to picked up and dropped off at La Posada. Then in 2016 the Albergue starting accepting bag transport and they could be dropped off at the municipal Albergue. I haven’t stayed in Roncevalles subsequently. So people experiences may be based upon when they were there. However, don’t worry they will drop them/pick them up somewhere. Just ask the Albergue. So many people send bags, you won’t be alone.

can you ask at the posada hotel if you can leave them there with other bags for pick up? it's right across the street- they might!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-

I will be walking from SJPP 2nd January. I will ask when in Roncesvalles. It is for 3 people I will walk with in September that need bags transferred

you could contact posada and ask them ahead of time- super nice people

Any ideas of who could transport a bag from Borda to Burguete?
It looks like Jacotrans can do this.

It is interesting that Jacotrans shows that it can transport form France. On all my Camino's pilgrims had to use Bouricott transport for their walk from France into Spain. It looks like they do go to Burgette.

I wonder if Jacotrans contracts with Bourricot for that section.

may be…. But I don’t think anyone should worry about it. There is bag transport and wherever they stay will know who the provider is, how to contract and where to pick it up. This is one of those subjects that is generally overthought 😀😀
I do want to add that while many municipal and a few Parochial albergues do not accept bag transport, the bag transport companies have arrangements to have bags delivered elsewhere in town. In a few small places where perhaps there isn’t a bar this isn’t the case.
