I imagine this may cause a bit of a debate. I've carried my bag twice on the Camino France but am now allowing myself to have it transported daily. It seems very easy to do in Spain. How is it done in Italy?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

I walked the VF March to June this year. Although I carried my pack the whole way, I'm aware of at least two luggage transfer services on the Italian leg through leaflets, etc found at Tourist Info Centres & some places I stayed.
www.sloways.eu is one & another can be found at
www.walkingonfrancigena.com.
Be aware the going rate is €15 per bag per sector...those €€€ will mount up very quickly! Some providers also require you book other services with them, such as accommodation.
Good luck with planning & enjoy your VF your way. 😊

Bags transfer starts in Lucca. Sloways will suggest taxi up to that point as there is really not the logistics cover. Bags-free.com (linked to walkingonfrancigena) as @kazrobbo says offer the same service again from Lucca at €15 per section.

Terms are

Normal Price is € 15 each luggage ( single step)
Discount
2 luggage = € 14 each luggage ( single step)
3 luggage = € 13 each luggage ( single step)
4 luggage = € 12 each luggage ( single step)

Steps are about 15km but you can see them here

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
