Hi everyone
I know that on thr french camino it is possible to walk with that very light sleeping bag - a cocoon linner sleeping bag, but I have read that many albergues on the portuguese camino do not have any blankets. Is it true? Do I have to carry a real sleeping bag? I'll be walking mid october, so it will be a little cold.
Thanks
Katia

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
We've recently walked from Porto to SdeC all the albergues we stayed in provided blankets and quite a few sheets and towels as well. We only took sleeping bag liners.

I have been in some without blankets, especially the Lisbon to Porto section. I despise being cold, so I now take a "camping blanket" made of down and ultralight, (Horizon Hound is the brand I use) instead of a liner. I save the first disposable sheet I get, in the event that I come to an albergue that doesn't give out disposable sheets, and some do not! If my first albergue has no sheets, then I stay in a family run hotel. You don't say when you are going, but in summer, most likely you can get away with just a liner.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
I´ll walk during october, I think it will be a little cold.
Thanks a lot

I walked with just a liner in the first weeks of October last year and I don't remember any huge issues. I was just walking from Porto, though.
