Blogging - Where did Blogger App Go?

A little out of my league here (actually really out). I created a blog www.caminolongwalk.blogspot.ca while walking various Camino routes in 2013/2014. While walking I posted updates on my iPad using Blogger...all worked great.

A few years later I now have an iPhone and will be walking the Camino Portuguese in early March 2018...the Blogger App is no longer available and searching various forums appears to no longer be supported. I did find an App called Blog Touch Pro which seems like it might do the trick (have not tested it yet) however wondered if anyone has any experience with this app or solved this in a different way.

While I have always enjoyed blogging at the end of a day I really don't want to recreate the blog in another format i.e WordPress or other.

Any thoughts...appreciated

Thanks

Guy

I can understand that you'd rather not, but It is not difficult, and you can even transfer your old blog over. to Wordpress. It might be easier than learning that other new app.

Yes, I feel your pain. I too had blogger blogs for years, and was able to set it up from my computer before leaving last summer. When I got to France and tried to write, it kept crashing. @NualaOC introduced me to FindPenguins, which is an extremely easy app to use (remember, I am the tech dunce on the forum). It's not as fancy as a blog, but I like that I don't have to mess around with fonts and colors and backgrounds and all those other annoying features. If you click on my Baztán/Norte link below, you will see what it looks like. And believe me, it is very easy, almost no learning required. Buen camino, Laurie

I also use FindPenguins. I like that it automatically maps my locations for me. I just wanted something easy for my family and friends to follow along on.

Blogger is still available via your web browser. I too used to use the Blogger App but when it started failing to save my edits I realised that it was no longer being supported (I believe Google own it, so I'm not sure why they didn't continue to support it as it surely wouldn't take much effort to do so). I now use Blogger through the Chrome browser on my iPad and my desk-top PC. It's not an ideal interface but is good enough for me. Like you I didn't want to be bothered learning a different blogging system.

Laurie I don't see the link. Hugs Ingrid

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Because it's a Google product, they stopped supporting it for Apple products, or so I'm led to believe. You still can use it through Safari but that's only when online which eliminates much of what I liked about using the Blogger App (writing offline). I've tried Wordpress but you can't upload photos when offline. You might want to look at the Blogo App which is a 'go-between' app: you write your blog on it (and add pics offline), and then you have the choice of where to post your blog, ie. on Blogger or Wordpress, or ?

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Finally after much back and forth with Blogo support desk...which was great managed to publish a post on my Blogpost blog. Thanks for the tip Alipilgrim!

Go figure I am now part of a testing group on a Beta version of the Blogo app! Who knows if this will stand up!

If interested blog is www.caminolongwalk.blogspot.ca. A little over a week to go before starting!!!
