I'm looking at doing this route in a month's time, a mixture of camping and hopefully a couple of pensions. The route I'm doing is just over 300kms from near Antalya northwards and should take about 2 weeks. After that, I want to visit a few places, then head down to the coast to walk some of the Carian Trail.

Has anyone else walked either of these routes, please? Would be interested to hear of your experiences?

Will post stages here once started :).

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

No worries. TBH, I'm ready to go in a few days time, especially when you look at the weather around Fethiya and Antalya at the moment! Just waiting for a shoulder problem to improve a bit more. All routes are mapped and GPXed, the rucksack is packed and there are loads of flights into Antalya from Birmingham. I re-read my 'Camino de Lycian Way' notes posted here from 4 years ago and just want to get going now .....

I was all set but was appalled at Turkey's tacit support of Russia. I couldn't go whilst they were still welcoming Russian tourists with open loving arms, still flew Russians to their holidays, whilst the Russian army waged war on Ukraine. I've boycotted Turkey for the future and am spending my money in places with a conscience.
