Time of past OR future Camino
Im planning to walk Camino in 2018 (May)
Hi Guys, I would like to start my camino in Bordeaux
1) Do you know where can I get the credential in Bordeaux?
2) Is the way from Bordeaux to SJPP marked, so I would not get lost?

I am a newbie, so please have patience with me :)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
I would get a credential before arriving in Bordeaux, chances are the cathedral has them but I would count on it.
The walk from Bordeaux to SJPdP is about 10 days and the route is either through some very boring pine forests in Landes or along the coast. I do not know the number of the specific Grande Randonne it is but you can find guides on line for the GRs in France. The markings are a white and red stripe. I know once you reach Biarritz you will start seeing yellow arrows but these lead to Irun, not SJPdP. There is a pathway along the river to SJPdP from Bayonne.

Hi Natalie,I was a volunteer in 2016 in the pilgrim gîte in Bordeaux which is situated right in the centre of the city in the Rue Argentier. As well as staying there you can also buy your credential. The volunteers will be happy to give you all the information
you need on the route and accommodation available.
I walked this way in 2015 and it is well way marked. The web site is gîte des pèlerins Bordeaux which will give you all the info.on the gîte. The gîte is housed in an historical building which used to be a tourist office. The architects did an excellent job converting the space to a very well designed gîte. When I walked the Voie de Tours I used the Le Père Guide .

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
[QUOTE Bordeaux is a beautiful city.[/QUOTE]
Not only is Bordeaux a beautiful city, it is the best city to visit in France, other than my tiny village of Biarritz.

Thank you all for your replies! Yes, Bordeaux is an amazing city, and I cant wait to explore more of this region.

Here is a pic from 2016, I love the simplicity of the sketch map and directions "1 km climb up, 5km flat, 5km down". I wonder how the prices are now?
