Camino or Pilgrim Museum on the Meseta?

I've been back from my Frances/Fisterra/Muxia Camino for less than a week and I'm already getting a bit fuzzy on some of the details.

There was a museum or official center in a town on the Meseta that had small display "rooms" in which you could watch videos about Camino history or legends. The very first room played a video about the different reasons that people walk and how the Camino changes pilgrims. It was really, really spot on and I would love to find it online and watch it again.

The museum was in a former church, I believe. They also projected a short animated film about the Camino on the ceiling of the church, if that stirs someone's memory. I think that the place was relatively new?

Does anyone know the name of the place and which town it was in? Thank you!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-

This is of course in Fromista!

I was very impressed with the Museo de los Pueblos Leoneses (formerly called the Museo Etnografico) in Mansilla de las Mulas. It is 20 km before Leon, and there is good bus service between Mansilla and Leon, if you want to combine it with a rest day. The museum portrays life in that region over history, with most display explanations in English, too. I definitely recommend it.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

I also saw a multimedia presentation in a church in Castrojeriz. It was a history of pilgrims and the Camino. The church had a beautiful ceiling for the MilkyWay presentation. I think the ethnography institute did several of these over numerous towns.

Yes! That's it! With your town ID, I looked it up and it's the Iacobeus interpretive center. http://www.castrojeriz.com/es/lugares-para-visitar/iglesia-de-santo-domingo

Now I just have to find out if their videos are available online.

Thank you so much!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

I did see that place, but the one I was thinking of is in Castrojeriz. it's the Iacobeus interpretive center. Thank you, though!

A selection of Camino Jewellery
I stayed an extra day in Castrojeriz and I'm so glad I did! This was in the Iglesia de Santo Domingo:

The "Interpretation Center of the Camino de Santiago IACOBEUS", didactic museum belonging to the tourist project 4 Villas de Amaya.

I just walked in and asked at the tourist information desk what I should see here in Castrojeriz... I was told to first see the exhibit right here in this church... The usual cost of admission is 5 euros but for pilgrims it is only 1 euro. After I handed over my two 50 cent coins, I was escorted inside where the man opened the control box on the wall and started the presentation for me, apparently pushing the "English" button!

Most impressive.
