Hello all I am back to do another section of the camino frances this year. I did Leon to Santiago in April 2013 which may sound like an odd plan in planning to do the camino in stages, but turned out good as I had the flu in March and rather than have to face crossing the Pyrenees the first day I had a few days of easy walking to get built up-though the first few were tough going I soon hit my stride. But I did learn that too much planning of how far I was going to walk each day didn't really work out, some days were shorter if I was tired or sore, while other days I walked much further. So this time I am heading to do St Jean to Burgos (hopefully!) starting on 8th May. Looking forward to it! Better get out and do some walking then! And after last spring when I spent so much trying to communicate with groups of Germans I think I better learn some German ( especially as they were all so nice to me as I was walking on my own!) Buen Camino
