deleting a private Conversation message

If you recall, a coupla weeks ago there was the spam message here offering, well, porn. That email is still sitting in the inbox here, with a red flag that catches my eye anytime i come to the boards, and I just can't figure out how to delete it. Any suggestions?

A couple of weeks ago, the forum had a spam attack. See Ivar's explanation here. You are talking about a private "Conversation" message, not an email. In the thread Ivar suggests that you use the option to "Leave" the conversation and choose to ignore future messages. (Not that there will be any, since the spammer has been cleaned from the forum.) That should take care of it. If not, report the Conversation message and we'll see if Ivar can help further.

Thanks C Clearly. I had seen Ivars message (sad that he had to spend time on it), but didn't know how to leave. Poked around a bit after your message and found the "leave" option.

Ivar’s efforts went towards blocking the incoming spam, and rooting out the original messages. But, using the “Leave Conversation” button is the remaining loose end.

Sadly, this is just something we need to live with and use self-help to remedy.

We don't think these are new messages. Rather, the spam attack happened a few weeks ago. If members have been off the forum, they will omly see (and report) the Conversation messages when they sign in now, which may be weeks later.
