Camino Frances with the kids!
Time of past OR future Camino
Camino Frances
We have arrived in San Sebastián today to start our small journey on the Camino Norte and we are just so excited. We managed to get sometime with Aussie friends of ours that we met on the Camino Frances back in 2022 and we leave San Sebastián first thing in the morning and start heading towards Zarautz.

We would love to take you along on this journey so we will be sharing our experience over on SubStack: https://everydayjourneys.substack.com/

If you fancy catching up on our Camino Frances/Finnisterre or Mozarabe journeys then head on over to our YT channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_FWJOFBQs53u-846958UNQ?sub_confirmation=1

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Considering that we were dipping ourselves in the sea in beautiful Zarautz yesterday evening it is certainly a change in weather today, however, that has not dampened our excitement of the walk that we undertook today. If you are thinking of taking on the Camino Norte, we would highly recommend, it is stunning!

We dropped into Deba for this evenings stopover and wow what a 'drop' it was. If you are looking to walk into Deba anytime soon from Zarautz, make sure you get ready for a lot of steep downhill! And be careful when wet under foot.

Buen Camino 👣 and don't forget to follow our journey over on SubStack: https://everydayjourneys.substack.com

Day 5 walking into Bilboa from Gernika today and WOW, what a walk and what a beautifukl descent into Bilboa. If you are thinking of doing this route (Norte), do not hesitate, even if you have to break it up over a number of visits to this beautiful country.
This is where our Norte journey ends for now, however, we are already planning when we can get back to complete it to Santiago! Buen Camino 👣 and dont forget to head on over and subscribe to our YouTube channel to get notified of when we publish our Norte vlogs....https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_FWJOFBQs53u-846958UNQ?sub_confirmation=1

Guides that will let you complete the journey your way.
We had always planned to do 5 days of the Norte with friends that we had met on the Frances a couple of years back and wow, what an experience it has been! As we explore Bilboa and rest our tired feet and legs, we would like to wish all of our fellow Norte pilgrims 'Buen Camino' for the onward journey....we are very envious but we will be back, this is a beautiful area of Spain and we will complete through to Santiago!

We get asked a lot on our channels about preparing for the Camino' that we have completed and have decided to share what we have learnt for free, easy to use WhatsApp course, hope you find it useful:
