Getting Compostela several days after arriving in Santiago - any problems?

For complex reasons I am planning to arrive in Santiago, with credential duly stamped, but will then leave immediately to visit other places. I am returning to SdC for transport home and I would like to visit the Pilgrim Office then. Is there any problem if I go to the pilgrims office several days after completing the Camino?

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
As far as I know as long as you have all the required stamps (including one from Santiago I suppose), it does not matter when you actually collect your compostela.
But I know this forum has some experts on this. I am sure they can give a very definite answer :)

Arriving at the Pilgrim Office just before it opens in the morning can facilitate a very streamlined experience with little or no waiting in line.

I do not think it is a problem. As long as you forfilled everything what is needed to get a Compostela

Maybe they can “anti date” the date if you ask but the system changed since I worked there last year due to computer automation

I collected mine 2.5 years later. They wrote on it the date I collected it as well as the date when I completed my Camino.
