Is La Iglesia de La Peregrina in Sahagun open?

Hello all,

We’ll be in Sahagun tomorrow (in Calzadilla de La Cueva tonight) and we’re hoping to go by La Iglesia de La Peregrina (Pilgrim’s Sanctuary) to explore the museum and pick up a halfway certificate.

Google says it’s permanently closed, but Sahagun’s tourism website makes no mention of it being closed. Nor do any other info sources I can find.

Has anyone been there recently who can confirm one way or the other?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Answered my own question. After arriving today, we walked over to the Pilgrim’s Sanctuary, and it is open. It’s all a museum now, to La Virgen Peregrina. If you want the halfway certificate, you get that at the tourism office, about a ten minute walk away. Gotta say, it’s pretty!

I was there last summer and it was open. I had no idea at the time I could get a half-way certificate in Sahagun until days after.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-

Thanks for this! I hope to be at this point in the first few days of Oct. Do you happen to remember the cost of the certificate?
