Hi all,

A trip on St Olav's ins probably far in the future.. but far enough that I might be able to learn a little bit of the language. I found it helpful to have some Spanish under my belt on the Camino, even if just to show some respect for the local community. How useful would Norwegian be on St Olav's? Or is it like the Camino where English is pretty widespread?

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Time of past OR future Camino
Past: a few
Last: Sanabres
Next: St Olav's Way
The answer to both is yes. Some Norsk is useful, even if it is only polite greetings. I found most Norse spoke reasonable English. It appeared to me that English speakers were much more widespread than in Spain, where I didn't find English speakers all that widespread other than amongst other pilgrims.

Plan to walk Camino de Santiago April/May/June 2016.
Hi jrm, hope you are fine. dougfitz gave you a good answer. What I recommend you to do is writing down a few words and phrases you like and get them translated. If you need some advice or help I would be more than happy to assist you.
Take care and have a great day ☺

Sincerely

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
