Wanted to secure lodging on-line. No problem doing this a few weeks back for all stages except the last two before reaching SDC. Found plenty of reasonable good hotel space in SDC for nights of 24/25 July. Problem is in Arzua and Arca/O Pino. Received e-mail replies stating that they are full (it's tyhe busiest part of the year, I imagine). Can I expect to find private homes who do equivalent to B&B's (like the Chambres et Tables D'Hotes throught the "Gites-de-France" sytem in France?)
Or should I resort to snail mail and send requests that way to those who do not have websites? (I can write in Spanish sufficiently for this). I am in California, so phone is difficult since thre is 9 hours time difference. Has anyone prearranged lodging in these towns if not staying in the refugios?
